We chose to have a pink scooter (Eva's favourite colour). When it arrived she couldn't wait to get it open and get outside. The T5 scooter is suitable for children aged 3 years and up. the scooter has 2 stages. The first stage enables the t-lock function which prevents the handlebars from tilting. The second stage allows the handlebars to be tilted so that your child can ride freestyle.
Setting the scooter up was easy. The handle simply slot into the base. The handle bar height can be adjusted which is a fab feature. This means the scooter will grow with your child. Let's face it they grow so quickly so it's good to know that this product will last us a while.
I really like the design. It's contemporary and not too childlike. I also find it lightweight.
Eva was able to ride on it as soon as she used it. I'm sure this is down to it having 3 wheels and not 2. She does have a 2 wheeled scooter already but she hates it because she can't use it. The 3 wheels allow her to feel more stable and therefore more confident.
The surface footplate is rubber which is comfy (in Eva's words). It also allows for a good grip.
We still haven't used the scooter in stage 2 but Eva is now a whizz on it that i'm sure we'll be adjusting it soon.
Overall, Eva loves her scooter. She uses it everyday. She rides it back and forth to school which makes the school run so much easier for me as she is actually enjoying herself. We also use it when we take the dog for a walk.
I'll definitely be buying Ophelia the smarTrike T1 scooter which is suitable from aged 15 months and up so we will be able to get her one at the end of next month. I just wish they did adult ones so hubby and I can join in the fun.
I like the idea that it's lightweight, odds are someone will end up carrying it! She looks like she loves it x

I've never heard of this make before, but I shall definitely be looking into them when my twins need a upgrade that grows with them. It looks really good for them :-)
ReplyDeleteShe looks as though she is really enjoying herself. As you say, it's a pity they don't do adult size versions.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool, I wish there really was an adult version, I would totally use this all the time!! xxxx
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. I love the color of it too
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great scooter. My son adores his. I really like the idea of adjustable height as they do grow so quickly!
ReplyDeleteShe looks really content on that scooter. The colour and fuctionality seem spot on. Added to that is the brake function and all within a reasonable price. Great piece of equipment for any child
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great piece of kit. Your daughter seems very pleased with it. Good that it is so sturdy and grows with your child. Just what a parent is looking for.
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, love the colours. Very good idea to get an adjustable height one too, they grown out of them too quickly.
ReplyDeleteThat's a super cool scooter, I love the fact it has 3 wheels, I'd love to get one for Taylor!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise smartrike did scooters until recently. They look really good quality. Eva looks like she's had lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how quickly our children get to grips with things, especially ones we think they'll struggle with. Eva looks fab on her scooter and it seems it didn't take her long to fall in love with it. I love her pink helmet at well!
ReplyDeleteThe scooter looks fab, Sebby has a similar one :)
