I was allowed to choose a jacket myself which I was really pleased about. There was a good range to choose from and I was torn between two. I either wanted the Kendal (shown below) or the Darcey.
The jacket has a few features. It's windproof, water repellent and it has a 2 way front zip. It must've rained for almost a month so I got a chance to test it out properly. I definetly stayed dry whilst I was wearing it. I also found it quite warm which I was surprised about as the jacket is very thin. It's extremey lightweight to wear which means it's a verstaile jacket that can be worn in a lot of weather conditions. It's easy to add layers underneath for extreme weather.
I love the style of it. As i've mentioned previously, it reminds me of my Joules jacket. The inside lining has a lovely pattern to it and you can roll up the sleeves to show it off. It fits really well and is comfortable to wear.
I was also allowed to pick something for Eva. There are some really cute coats on their website with gorgeous prints. This one below was one of my favourites on the site.
However, I decided to choose a fleece because Eva didn't have one. Eva loves nothing more than mountain walks with her dog and let's face it, that can be very cold in our winters. I chose the Juno fleece in ocean blue.
As you may already know we booked a last minute trip to Australia to visit my mum and sisters, after losing an immediate family member back in the UK. Because of our swift exit I left all the pictures for my blog post on my computer at home so I will have to add them to show you when I return. Eva looked great in it. The colour is very vibrant and looked fab against her wellies and dog walking gear. For now here is a picture of it from their website.
The fleece costs 15.99 at the moment. Eva loves wearing it. It fits very well and keeps her warm. The material is very soft which she loves stroking and snuggling up to. It's great for putting layers underneath it or wearing it underneath a coat. I love the fact it has a full length zip rather than a half zip as when she gets too hot from running around, I simply undo the jacket to cool her down without having to take it off.
Have you heard of the brand before? What are your essential outerwear products?
I have never heard of Target Dry before but I love the look of their products and will definitely take a look x
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this brand before, but I love everything on here! I really like the coat you chose and the lining looks fab! The fleece look so warm and I love the colour!
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket you chose. I agree hoods are essential with children just no way could I carry an umbrella too. The fleece is a gorgeous colour. Can't wait for photo's of Eva in it
ReplyDeleteI'm all about a hood now I have kids! The designs look lovely and would be perfect for us as we are always outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI was stupid enough to buy myself a coat without a hood last year - will never make that mistake again. Love that teal fleece, wonder if they make adult sizes?
ReplyDeleteThis looks so lovely - yes, it is like my Joules one too! I haven't heard of this brand but it looks great. Kaz x
ReplyDeleteThese jackets look great and nice and warm too x
ReplyDeleteYour jacket looks class! I've been looking for one similar, so I'm a fan.
ReplyDeleteI love that blue coat you picked. I love the quilted barbour style jackets. A hood is just a bonus!
ReplyDeleteThis jacket looks fab and very comfy!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely jacket, I love the colour of the children's jacket. I'm so sorry to hear about your bereavement and I hope Australia is giving you some well deserved r & r.x
ReplyDeleteI'm yet to get a 'proper' coat. I don't think I've ever owned an actual useful coat as an adult haha! I've always bought based on style rather than function, and they're never waterproof! So far I'm escaping with few consequences but I know this won't last! How I've survived so long without a decent coat in Wales is anyone's guess! Xx
ReplyDeleteNot a brand I've heard of before. Love the coat you chose always a winner getting a hood who's got hands for an umbrella these days. Fleeces are so good for layering :)!
ReplyDeleteGreat price for both coats, I am not familiar with the brand but I need to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAll those jackets are gorgeous! Especially the kids jackets x
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this brand before, but the coat looks great on you! I really want a new coat as the one I have now can no longer zip or button because of my pregnant belly. I only have 6 weeks left though so I'm trying to hold off just a little longer!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with pink horses - super cute x
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of this brand before. I love the jacket you picked up, the lining is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteLaura x
I've never heard of Target Dry before, but the blue coat looks fab, I like the Barbour-esque pattern/stitching.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely haven't heard of the brand before but it's always great to support local businesses so I will be having a look. I'm always terrible at buying coats in the winter for myself.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to review a Target Dry coat too! Mine has been amazing for the Welsh winter weather and has kept me snug and dry on the school run. Your coat looks lovely. Definitely a brand I recommend x
