This week we had to visit Eva's school that she will be attending in September. I have such mixed emotions about this. It's an exciting time but it all seems to be happening so quickly. Sitting in the school brought back lots of memories for me especially listening to the teachers talk about how you can help prepare your child, homework, examinations etc.
I know so many people with children at exam age at the moment and it can be such a stressful time for the whole family. I remember the days when I was going through it. I was always more of an interactive learner than someone who could just sit and read from a book.
I was recently introduced to Education Quizzes which have revision quizzes from key stage 1 to GCSE level and is available to pupils, parents and schools on a subscription basis. The quizzes were designed by teachers and are all in a multiple choice format. There are lots of different subjects in each key stage level to choose from and within those subjects there are plenty of quizzes to use.
Even though Eva is out of the age range for the website, we still did a few of the quizzes together which she enjoyed. It helped me to understand what type of things she would be expected to know for Key Stage 1. We did a 2D shape quiz in the maths category. There were images of certain shapes and patterns and then multiple choice answers. I read the questions out and Eva answered them. She surprised me on how well she did.
We then did a geography quiz about the counties of the world. This displayed various flags and you had to answer with what country they belonged to. Even though she didn't know any of these, it was a great way to teach her (any myself).
My cousin is now in high school so I will be recommending this website to my aunty. He is very much like me in that he doesn't like to sit down and read from a book to revise. This would be the ideal solution for him as it is fun and interactive.
Access to the quizzes is through a monthly subscription which costs £7.50. It can be cancelled at any time. This is quite pricey, however I think when it comes to education, i'm happy to pay for something that works and is enjoyable.
The website has recently become available to schools. Schools can sign pupils up at a reduced cost. The more students they sign up, the cheaper it becomes. This could be so beneficial for schools as it's a great resource for teachers and especially supply teachers. If children are having fun whilst learning and improving their grades, then that means better school reports. A winner for everyone involved.
Overall this is a great website that is designed to help all children increase their knowledge and revise for exams through fun quizzes. As you know we are a travel loving family. We've been all over the world, had UK breaks and we love camping. However, one thing we hadn't experienced was a festival. In our heads, festivals weren't family friendly.
We were offered a chance to go to Wychwood Festival which takes place at Cheltenham racecourse. After checking the website and seeing how family orientated it was, we decided to bite the bullet and go. The festival ran from Friday - Monday morning but we were only able to attend from late Friday evening to early Sunday morning as we had other commitments.
We arrived about 8pm on the Friday evening (note to selves to arrive earlier next time so we don't get so stressed erecting the tent). The camping was on the racecourse itself and there were a few areas to choose from such as family and quiet. We opted for the family area which was the furthest away from the festival but the walk wasn't too far. The grounds were all flat which was a huge bonus. We were able to park the car near to where we were camping but it then had to be moved to a separate car park after unloading the car.
The camping grounds and facilities were lovely. Not how I imagined facilities to be at a festival. It didn't feel cramped and overcrowded. The toilets were actually clean all weekend. There was only a couple of times that we used them and they didn't have toilet roll, which over a few days is very good.
At night you could hear the music at the festival but nothing too loudly which was ideal for a family area.
There was a fabulous bakery stall in the camping area which served hot drinks and breakfast goodies. The coffee was amazing, so much so that we couldn't be bothered to make our own at the tent, we frequented here instead. They also baked all their own breads etc on site.
We ventured into the festival itself on Saturday morning, just in time to see Justin Fletcher. This was definitely the highlight of the weekend for Eva. In fact every time someone went onto the main stage she was hoping it was him again. His act lasted for at least half an hour and was enjoyed by parents and children alike. I did think the main stage area needed a bit more room in front of it. It was situated in the middle of the festival area and I do think it should have been at one of the ends to allow more space for people to enjoy it more and be able to sing and dance.
There was lots of things to keep children entertained. We partucalrly enjoyed having a wonder into all of the stalls. There were lots to view such as clothing, sweets, bubbles, tattoos etc.
There was a circus tent area which Eva thought was fantastic. It was filled with all circus themed things for the children to play with. I think this was the area in which we had the most laughter.
There was also a craft themed tent where children were able to design and make their own tote bags, do painting etc. Annoyingly we didn't have time to make a bag which we were gutted about.
Eva thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castle area. There was a huge inflatable slide which made her day. It was £2 for 5 goes which is pretty good value for money.
One area that I loved was the baby feeding and changing tent. This was such a lovely touch and the people running it were super friendly. I breastfeed Ophelia so it was nice to be able to have some privacy and some shelter from the sun. Plus there was water and cake in there. What more could a mum want.
Waterstones were involved in the kids literature festival. They had a tent which was a book shop and there was also an area where authors were reading their books. We couldn't get Eva to sit and listen to anything as she was far too hyper and wanted to be on the go enjoying everything outside.
She took part in a belly dancing class. This was super cute to watch. If she'd had her way she would have stayed in there all day.
We were really impressed by the amount and variety of the food stalls. There really was something for everyone. Eva had a children's meal at one of the stalls which was £5 for a hot dog, chips and a drink. The portions were large so we thought this was really good value for money.
Overall, we had a fantastic time. The campsite was easily accessible, clean and not too far to walk to. The food was all yummy and reasonably priced. There were plenty of activities for the children to keep them entertained. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. It certainly felt like a very safe place to be. The atmosphere was infectious. By the time we left we were immersed in bubbles and floral crowns and planning our next festival trip asap.
I would've liked to have seen a few more children's acts on the stages throughout the day as seeing Justin Fletcher was Eva's favourite part of the weekend.

If you follow us on our social media accounts you will know that we recently attended the Cosatto AW16 preview at their HQ. It was our first Cosatto event and needless to say, we were very excited. You may have read my review of their Supa pushchair which we took to Disneyland Paris, if not feast your eyes here as we loved it, Review.
Eva was in nursery that day so it was just Ophelia and I. After arriving at their HQ, I felt rather guilty that Eva had missed the event as she would have loved it. Their offices and showroom are the most brightly coloured rooms I have ever seen. You just smile immediately when you enter. It's quirky, fun, vibrant and full of sweets and even a slide. It most definitely is a true likeness of the brand.
After using their pushchair I am a total Cosatto convert and after hearing a talk about the brand, we are clearly a match made in heaven. Cosatto is a brand that aims to bring the fun into parenting and put a spring in your step. Their patterns are always on trend, bold, unique and above all very eye catching. They stand out from the crowd. There is a pattern to suit every personality whether that be the girly girl, the adventurer or the dreamer. If you follow us you will know that myself, Eva and Ophelia are normally always smiling. In fact we are very cheesy bunch. We are always the life and soul and we love adventures and pretty things. This is why we have fallen in love with Cosatto.
The new autumn/winter collection features 7 new fantastic patterns. There's unicorns, campers, hoppits, spaceships, racing cars, egg and spoons and poppies. Our personal favourite patterns are the unicorns and the campervans. We are also huge space fans so if we had a boy then that would be our first choice of pattern.
There were so many things in the showroom that I have on my wishlist but top of the list by a long mile is the Giggle 2 in the Happy Campers print. As previously mentioned, we have the Supa stroller which is ideal for travel and for walks but I am in and out of the car a lot and I would ideally like a travel system. It would be so much easier to be able to lift Ophelia out of the car in her car seat and just pop her onto a base to push.
We actually got to road test it whilst there and as you can see Ophelia loved it. She was very happy (almost smug), relaxing in the stroller attachment and looked very much at home. You could tell she thought she was chocolate.
The Giggle is very lightweight which I didn't expect it to be. It was very easy to manoeuvre. The pattern is perfect for us as we have already been camping and to festivals this year and as you probably know we are travel mad.
Another Item which I loved was the Zoomi car seat in Magic Unicorns. I don't know about you but Eva becomes a contortionist when she is in her car seat. No matter how tight it is, she will always wriggle out. I would love to try Cosatto's 5 point plus system to see if that keeps her put. It fits ages 9 months - 12 years so is a pretty good investment.
The Magic Unicorn print has got Eva's name written all over it. She is a girly girl. In her world everything is pink, sparkly and sprinkled with fairy dust. There are pixies, unicorns, magic and flying horses everywhere. This is no joke. Spend 5 minutes with her and you will understand what i'm talking about. One of her most recent toy purchases was none other than a unicorn ride on.
I was also able to not only see but get my hands on the beautiful Wonder. This pram is the epitome of sophistication. It is super trendy, super cool and super special. Its name is so apt. I would absolutely love to be seen pushing one of these and no doubt Ophelia would love to be seen cruising in one. If you had one of these you would be the envy of everyone. They are so special that there was only a limited amount made.
We had such a wonderful time with the Cosatto team and meeting some of my fellow bloggers. We can't wait to visit again in the future.

What's your favourite pattern?
I'm starting my Disneyland Paris posts with telling you all about our favourite memory whilst we were there. As Cinderella once said, 'A dream is a wish your heart makes,' and all of my daughter's wishes came true at Auberge de Cendrillon.
Hubby and I have been to Disneyland Paris quite a few times before but we have never previously dined at this restaurant. It appealed to us as it promises character experience dining with the princesses, which we knew our daughter Eva would love.
We decided to book a table for lunch at 12pm. I booked this 2 weeks in advance by phoning the reservations team which was very simple to do. It was my 31st birthday the day we went so it was going to be a special treat for all of us.
We also bought Eva a princess Aurora (or alora as she pronounces it) dress from one of the boutiques that day and of course she had to wear it to lunch.
As soon as we entered the restaurant she was in awe. You are immediately greeted by a beautiful flower and glass display which houses the rose from Beauty and the Beast, Snow White's apple and Cinderella's glass slipper.
Overall, we loved every minute. We were there for a couple of hours so I would keep that in mind if you are planning to book. It's not something to be rushed. The staff were very friendly and incredibly patient with all the children excitedly running around. The food is expensive but I can honestly say it is worth it. It's not something you could afford to do every day while you are there but you have to do it once. It beats having the usual fast food outlets and it is nice to relax and give your feet a rest for a couple of hours.
The character experiences were worth every single penny. If you want to meet the princesses in the park, you have to go to the princess pavilion which you queue for absolutely hours for. Even then you don't know who you will see. It's a waste of time. This is far better.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and does make you feel like you are in a castle. There are stoned arch ways and lovely stained glass windows. Cinderella's carriage is also in the courtyard of the restaurant which provides a stunning backdrop.
There are set menu's to choose from, all featuring French cuisine. I think it's important to mention that this menu is very catered for French cuisine which is what it should be. I saw lots of people moaning on trip advisor about it and I think they need to realise that not everything has to be British and fast food orientated. There wasn't a great deal of choice which may bother some people but I prefer it when I don't have too many things to choose from. Before we ordered we were all given a princess cocktail.
I chose the crab and crayfish salad for starters and scallops for a main. Eva had a salad to start with (there is no other choice). She wasn't very keen on it if i'm honest. She then had spaghetti for the main. I liked the fact that her dish was separate, so that the sauce, vegetables and spaghetti were all on separate sections. Hubby had a veal dish. There was even baby food for Ophelia.
We really enjoyed our food. I think the deserts were all our favourite dishes. We all had chef's specials.
Now for the best bit. The princes and princesses. Not long after we arrived Cinderella, Prince Charming, Snow White and Aurora all danced in the middle of the restaurant. Eva loved seeing this. All the children sat on the floor to watch which was adorable to see. They perform this dance a few times whilst you are there so you won't miss out.
Each character then visited the table at least once during the time we were there. What we loved was that they don't just pop over briefly, they stay and make your little one's feel extra special. They chat, have photographs and sign autograph books.

As i'm sure you know by now we have recently been on a holiday to Disneyland Paris. We are huge Disney enthusiasts in our house. We love everything to do with Disney. One thing we wanted to do was to make sure Eva had some Disney themed clothes to take with her on her holiday to really get her in the mood.
We were lucky enough to be sent some items from character.com to take along on our trip. They have a huge range of 'character' themed clothes which includes a vast selection of Disney products.
We decided to choose some pyjamas and I really wanted us to have the same one's. Before I had children, I would never have thought I would like to dress the same way as them but I honestly love matching them. Eva also loves seeing me in the same thing as her, so as you can imagine, she was delighted to see we had a matching pair for our trip. Her favourite colour is pink so we decided to get Bambi pyjamas as they were pink, cute and flowery.
You can view mine here, Bambi pyjamas and buy them for £12.95. They are so pretty. I chose to have a size 8-10 which I will honesty say was rather optimistic. I think I thought I was skinnier than I am. They did fit but I would have liked them to have been looser. This is no fault at all by the website, just merely me being hopeful! I found the quality really good and they were light to wear so they would be ideal for summer months.
Eva's pyjamas are here for £8.95, Bambi pyjamas. Hers have a very similar pattern to mine. Sizing was true to form and as with mine they were light. Even though they are long sleeved, they could still be worn during the summer. I like the fact that the trousers are cuffed at the bottom. It makes them a lot more comfortable as they are less likely to move around during her fidgety sleep.
We couldn't leave hubby out. We were going to get him pyjamas but we decided that he would get more use out of a t-shirt. Seeing as Disney have remade Star Wars we thought one of those t-shirts would be great. You can buy his here, Star Wars T-shirt. They have a fab range of Star Wars things and we are eyeing up a storm trooper t-shirt for father's day.
Eva also got a Minnie Mouse swimming costume. I won't be sharing pics of her in it but she looked so cute. It really suited her. Ophelia was also sent a little gift which was a Minnie Mouse rucksack, bag, which needless to say was very swiftly acquired by Eva. It was a a good size for her to carry comfortably and could fit essential items for her such as drinks, snacks and her autograph book and pen.
We were very impressed with the website. Everything is really good quality and reasonably priced which is brilliant news for us parents. Disney products are normally so expensive so it's great to see such a vast range of products available at an affordable price. Delivery was speedy too which is always a bonus. Eva and I wear our pyjamas all the time and she loves it when I say twinning is winning.
I would love to see the website branching out into baby sizes too. Hopefully that may come in the future as I love to dress the girls the same.

You can view mine here, Bambi pyjamas and buy them for £12.95. They are so pretty. I chose to have a size 8-10 which I will honesty say was rather optimistic. I think I thought I was skinnier than I am. They did fit but I would have liked them to have been looser. This is no fault at all by the website, just merely me being hopeful! I found the quality really good and they were light to wear so they would be ideal for summer months.
Eva's pyjamas are here for £8.95, Bambi pyjamas. Hers have a very similar pattern to mine. Sizing was true to form and as with mine they were light. Even though they are long sleeved, they could still be worn during the summer. I like the fact that the trousers are cuffed at the bottom. It makes them a lot more comfortable as they are less likely to move around during her fidgety sleep.
We couldn't leave hubby out. We were going to get him pyjamas but we decided that he would get more use out of a t-shirt. Seeing as Disney have remade Star Wars we thought one of those t-shirts would be great. You can buy his here, Star Wars T-shirt. They have a fab range of Star Wars things and we are eyeing up a storm trooper t-shirt for father's day.
Eva also got a Minnie Mouse swimming costume. I won't be sharing pics of her in it but she looked so cute. It really suited her. Ophelia was also sent a little gift which was a Minnie Mouse rucksack, bag, which needless to say was very swiftly acquired by Eva. It was a a good size for her to carry comfortably and could fit essential items for her such as drinks, snacks and her autograph book and pen.
We were very impressed with the website. Everything is really good quality and reasonably priced which is brilliant news for us parents. Disney products are normally so expensive so it's great to see such a vast range of products available at an affordable price. Delivery was speedy too which is always a bonus. Eva and I wear our pyjamas all the time and she loves it when I say twinning is winning.
I would love to see the website branching out into baby sizes too. Hopefully that may come in the future as I love to dress the girls the same.
